Story
Dear Friends,
I am really sorry to ask, but you will see from the photograph that I urgently need your help to release me from incarceration and prevent me from languishing in the Tower of London for the remainder of my year! As part of a long standing livery tradition, I have agreed to take part in the annual ‘Jailed and Bailed’ event on 20th September and to be arrested to raise much needed funds to support the British Red Cross.
Together with a number of other Masters, we will go to the Central Criminal Court (Old Bailey) to be arrested and charged with numerous heinous crimes that have been collected together by my colleagues and friends. It is highly likely, If they have anything to do with it, that I will be ‘sent down’ and taken to the Tower of London to serve my time. If we are lucky we may be offered a meagre lunch accompanied by a glass of ‘water’, kindly donated by Pol Roger.
If I am to be released I need to raise bail of £1,000 to be paid to the British Red Cross by 20th September so do please help me to achieve my fundraising target by donating any amount, however small, by going to my Just Giving Page here.
Thanking you in anticipation and I look forward to my release!
Julie
Master, WCCSA
