I turned 50 this year and wanted to set myself a challenge, with some persuasion from my friend Katt, I signed up to the 100 mile cycle ride.

My other motivation was to raise money in the memory of my friend Jackie who sadly lost her fight against cancer last year. During her illness Jackie continued to raise money for  her chosen charities and was an inspiration to many. She also fulfilled a dream by opening a florist. The florist continues to be a successful family business run by her four daughters.

I asked Jackie's family who they would like me to raise money for and they said Breast Cancer Care as the charity had been a great support during her illness.
