Story
Isaac was born at 26 weeks gestation and was very poorly. We didn't know for quite some time if he would come home at all and if he did, in what condition. However...with 90 days in neo natal care and a further 3 years of a lot of medical intervention and support Isaac began to overcome many challenges and to smash every goal and milestone. From overcoming a heart problem to not being able to sit up without the aid of specialist equipment to thinking he may not be able to walk without a limp through to resolving chronic lung disease and continence issues...Isaac is now a happy and healthy 6 year old who loves life, loves socialising and would love to give something back to say thank you! So...Isaac is planning to walk 26 miles in November - Prematurity Awareness Month and he is inviting his friends old and new to walk with him. He will be joined by the surgeon who delivered him and saved his life, some of his awesome NICU nurses, some of his other premature friends and his school friends. Over 13 or 14 walks in our local area of West Sussex/Hampshire we will cover 26 miles. Please donate to this very, very important charity without whom things could have been very different for Isaac.
Every 5 minutes, a baby is admitted to neonatal care in the UK.Bliss is the leading UK charity for babies born premature or sick. They rely on donations to fund their work, and without our help they won't be able to reach the 100,000 babies needing neonatal care each year.Your donation to my page will help Bliss to drive improvements in neonatal care, to ensure that the needs of babies are at the heart of policy and planning for the future, and to provide information and support to all families with a baby born premature or sick.
