My name is Tom Parsons, I have been a member of the Chiddingfold Cricket Club for around 10 years (since I was about 5!) and for my Duke of Edinburgh Bronze award I was going to help coach children playing cricket. Unfortunately, due to covid-19 I have been unable to do this.
Instead I have decided to help the club by fundraising money for the Chiddingfold Cricket nets. I am going to cycle the distance of nearly 370 miles locally, which is the distance from Chiddingfold CC to 6 major cricket grounds in England - The Oval, london, Lords, London, Edgbaston, Birmingham, Trent Bridge, Nottingham and Old Trafford Cricket Ground, Manchester and finishing at Headingly in Leeds.
As well as raising money for the new nets that will help future cricketers in the local area, I hope to raise interest in the club and cricket in general. I will post my progress along the way on this page.
