Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I'm doing this walk in memory of Angela Orrell, my best mate who passed away in October 2012 at the hospice. Like so many of my mates who are also raising funds for them, the Hospice were amazing - they saw Ang not the cancer, and treated her with honesty and dignity. She felt well supported in their care as did we - they allowed us to sleep over on several girly nights on their amazing fold up z beds, which gave Ang company in the night and provided us all with that extra special time, laughs and cuddles in the last week of her life in particular. Their amazing facilities meant her children and husband could visit in a non 'medical' environment and be able to have that much needed family time too.
The Hospice staff treated us all so well, before during and after. Doing a walk seems so little in return for their miraculous care.
Money will never be enough to express our gratitude - but if I can raise £200 this would provide another z bed which means someone elses friend, partner of child can sleep close by when their loved one needs them the most.
Please donate what you can - and thankyou in advance x
