Story

Thanks for visiting my page. I'm raising money for the British Heart Foundation, and I'd be so grateful for your support.

Not many people are aware, but heart conditions in my family are pretty normal.... In fact, if you don't have one, you're the odd one out🀣

I myself have a heart condition which means that im not actually meant to be able to exercise, stand up or live  a normal day to day life but every single day i get up and have one goal.... to prove my diagnosis WRONG!

To prove  it  wrong I've decided to take on a ultra marathon and really put my heart to the test... especially up the hills in the peak district πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈπŸ˜³

have what is known as POTs and also a very large hole in my heart. I have a very low heart rate combined with low blood pressure, which as you can imagine is a recipe for disaster. My heart is having to work twice as hard to just to keep me on my feet.  As many of you know, I'm prone to fainting and seizures, and this is why! Yet every day, I get up and prove POTs wrong, even though the fatigue, brain fog, aches etc etc are sometimes too much to deal with. It doesn't own me!!

I'm currently under observation for an umbrella/stent to be fitted to my heart to try and help it cope. We will see...

Both my dear Dad and brother also had/have  heart conditions. Dads heart rate was sky high, and sadly, they didn't do anything in time (another story), and my brother has  A F (atrial fibrillation). My Mamma had angina and sadly died from numerous heart attacks, again missed by doctors.

I've lost a few close, old , school  and family friends from undiagnosed heart conditions too, and I've seen first hand the devastation caused by it.

If by running this ultra marathon, I can help change one persons life, help one family, or make a tiny difference in any way, then I will have succeeded!!!

Please help me help others... donate, share my page... anything you can. Every single penny, every share or  tag... whatever WILL make a difference.

Thank you for reading. Love to you all β€οΈπŸ’™πŸ’–πŸ’—πŸ’šπŸ’œ

NOW TO START TRAINING... WISH ME  LUCK!

The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK, but sadly, every day, hundreds of people lose their lives. It's only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures. Β£24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist, but every pound helps, so please give what you can to help me hit my target.
