The Burma Education Partnership supports education in displaced Burmese communities along the Thai-Burmese border. It provides funding for schools and educational initiatives, including teacher training. It finds placements for teachers in schools, refugee camps and within a mobile teacher programme. It also develops materials for English teaching and general education.

Story

Thank you for visiting our fundraising site.

We're Julie and Joy and we're raising money for two causes:

~Burma Education Partnership, with whom we'll be working to provide education for refugees in camps on the Burma-Thai border, (charity no. 1115837).
~an Arts Centre to showcase the work of some talented children in Nan, South Thailand and continue to establish ties with arts buyers and dealers overseas.
This is in conjunction with Baan Romjit (charity no. 1114154), that helps children affected by the Tsunami.

Our target is £1,500 each, £3000. Please dig deep and sponsor us online.
We've already paid our travel and accommodation so your money won't be going to fund a jolly, it'll be received straight-away by these charities.

Thank you. Our last resort is to sell our body parts on the black market. With your help, we can keep our kidneys.
