I’m taking part in Relay for Life because I’ve lost people I love to cancer.

Losing them changed my life. It’s a kind of loss that stays with you — in the quiet moments, in the milestones, in the memories.

Cancer doesn’t just affect one person. It affects families, friends, entire communities.

I walk to honor the ones I’ve lost. I walk for the love that’s still there. And I walk with hope that one day, fewer families will have to experience this kind of pain.

Every step I take is for them.
