Julie Steckel is turning 80 this year and to celebrate the incredible body of work she has accomplished we are donating to NARAL in her name. Julie requested that we forego material gifts (one can amass quite a bit of stuff in 80 years) and that the company of her family and friends would be more than enough to make her birthday special. We wanted to surprise her by showing how much her work as a feminist through her teaching, social work and motherhood has influenced us all to defend a woman’s right to choose.
