Hi everyone! We’re both running a 10k race on August 4th to raise money for the Teenager Cancer Trust, and would be really grateful for your support.
When Andy was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in 2016, he received incredible support from the charity. Doctors, nurses, volunteers, even entertainers, helped make his experience a little better and so he wants to give something back to enable them to help other children, teenagers and young adults being treated for cancer.
A 10k probably doesn’t sound like a huge challenge, but I once did a community ‘fun run’ and was so slow they had to send out a call for me over the tannoy as they worried I’d been abducted... and I’m really struggling to get past 6k with just a couple weeks to go!
Your donation could help the Teenage Cancer Trust fund specialist nurses and youth support coordinators to support the young people in cancer units. They've been specially trained to understand what it's like to have cancer when you're young, giving support and helping young people to feel less isolated. Anything you could give would be really appreciated - we’ll give you sweaty hugs when we complete the race!
