Far too many of us have felt the pain of losing someone we love. With your donations, we power groundbreaking cardiovascular research to save and improve lives, bring hope to families, and keep hearts beating across the UK.

Story

Thanks for visiting my page. I am going to be cycling 50 miles on Sunday 8th of July, which is also my birthday, in the Milton Keynes Bike Ride  2018. It will be very much appreciated if you could help me raise funds for such a great cause.

Coronary heart disease is the UK's single biggest killer but the British Heart Foundation lead in the fight against it. The suddenness of a life taken by a heart related problem can never be underestimated. I have lost both my mother and two brothers due to heart attacks. My wife has also recently recovered from a rare form of heart disease, Supra Ventricular Tachycardia (SVT) and so the British Heart Foundation means a lot to me.

It's only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures. £24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist, but every pound helps so please give what you can to help me hit my target.

Donating in JustGiving is safe, simple and secure. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity so it's the most efficient way to donate. Please do not forget to add Gift Aid when making your donation if you are a UK taxpayer as this can then be claimed from the government - at no extra cost to you.
