Story
9 mates embarked on a challenge to each run 100km in the month of June. As a group of non-runners, this challenge will be a lot tougher than it may sound to some!
After day 1 we decided we needed a bit of motivation so decided to use the challenge as a fundraising initiative for a charity of our choice.
After some deliberation, we decided to fundraise for Prostate Cancer UK. A charity that is close to the heart of one of our mates, Jack Hutchinson, as his father Terry sadly passed away in 2016 as a result of this disease. Jack will be taking part in the challenge along with Alfie Ferguson, Conor Harte, Sean O’Sullivan, Jake Curran, Freddie O’Connell, Sean Mahony, Sean Hollowed & Liam McGrath.
Our goal is to raise £1,500.00 to help towards Prostate Cancer UK’s aim to improve the care and welfare of those affected by prostate cancer, increase investment in research, and raise public and political awareness of a long-neglected disease.
We will each be donating £100.00 to Prostate Cancer UK & would be extremely grateful if you were able to donate any amount to help towards our goal of raising £1,500.00 before the end of June.
Thank you!
