Story
It's always best to involve others in your madness.....! Nick and I will be taking on this challenge together - why are we doing it....... ......One in two of us will be diagnosed with Cancer in our lifetime. Cancer can be devastating, not only for the person with the diagnosis, but also for their friends and family. Macmillan offer a lifeline to so many people - helping everyone with cancer live life as fully as they can, providing physical, financial and emotional support. During my time at London Ambulance Service I worked closely with Macmillan and was blown away by their skill, knowledge and the compassionate care they delivered. I am in awe of the work that they do. This year we have decided to take on the Jurassic Coast Challenge Marathon, raising money for Macmillan. On 22nd May 2021 we will be running 42km, starting at Corfe Castle and finishing at Durdle Door (oh yes...it's hilly!). This is no ordinary marathon as we will also be climbing over 1000m....the equivalent of Snowdon! Big or small, every donation helps Macmillan to continue the incredible work they are doing. So please, if you can, dig deep and donate. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs
