Thanks for visiting my JustGiving page.
Two years ago, I lost my childhood friend, Sara, to cancer.
Sara was just a brilliant individual, always smiling and upbeat and so full of energy. I first met her when we acted together in school plays. She enjoyed a stellar theatre career before retraining as a child psychologist.
Typically, whilst coping with cancer, Sara worked for the charity Childline, helping hundreds of vulnerable children, transforming their lives.
She was a wonderful, loving wife and a brilliant Mum to three children, 8, 13 and 18.
Sadly, during Covid Sara wasn’t allowed to see her friends. Instead, she was supported throughout by the team at Maggie’s. This remarkable charity offers a place to meet other people experiencing similar challenges. They also offer personal advice on treatment, emotional assistance and valuable practical guidance.
On the 2nd October, I’ll be running my first Marathon – I hardly dare say it, I’ve never been much of a runner!
With your help, my aim is to raise at least £3,000 to enable Maggie’s to continue providing their invaluable support that meant so much to Sara and her family.
Any donation, however big or small, is very much appreciated by me and, more importantly, by those who will follow in Sara’s footsteps.
Thanks for your generosity.
Justin xx
