Story
I wanted to donate to something tangible and personal. There is so much worthy of support in this troubled world that deciding who to raise money for is really difficult.
Sybil and The Martha Phoenix Memorial Trust are neighbours of friends in South London. They help homeless girls who are vulnerable and need a safe place where they can sleep and and learn life and work skills. At the centre of life in the Trust are the meals, but recently the funding they receive for food has been cut. I was moved by this story of the good that Sybil and her team do and wanted to help them to carry on delivering the fullest support possible, including meals.
Food was at the centre of my parents world; an expression of their love. Food remains an essential part of my family life also. I want to help the MPMT continue providing food as part of the support to those in their care. Anything you could give will help provide a comforting meal for these girls who have so little.
Thank you
