Justine Braid is raising money for Calcutta Rescue Fund
“Justine Braid's fundraising”

on 6 March 2011

Donations cannot currently be made to this page
We raise money to make life better for people living in the slums and on the streets of Kolkata, India. We fund an Indian charity to provide free medical care for poor people, free education for their children, improved housing and sanitation, and skills training to help them to become self-reliant.

Story

On March 26th, I am doing a run in aid of Calcutta Rescue. It's 5 kms of mud, water, hills and ditches, organised by British Military Fitness.

I worked for this Indian charity as a nursing volunteer in 1994 and 1998. It does great work, including healthcare to some of the poorest in the city and schools for street children.

It's a small thing I'm doing, but I'll find it a challenge and hope to make a  difference with your help.
