Justine's London Marathon Fundraiser

London Marathon 2023 · 23 April 2023 ·
Thanks for taking the time to looking at my JustGiving page
I have luckily bagged myself a ballot place in the 2023 London Marathon !!
Once I overcame the shock and stopped swearing (a lot) it occurred to me that I could also support a charity very close to my heart so thought, why not.
I approached my friend and work colleague who founded the charity Siblings United and he enthusiastically accepted my offer to run for them!
The charity was set up just this year as a legacy to the two amazing children of my friend. They aim to offer gifts and experiences to the siblings of children diagnosed with cancer as the effects of cancer treatment has profound and lasting effects on the whole family, often with the sibling being lost in the background.
It's been an incredibly difficult few years for the family, losing such inspiring, loving and talented children - it’s a journey that no one should ever have to go through.
Through all this devastation, loss and heartache, which started with their son being diagnosed with a rare form of leukaemia in 2019 to their daughter being told she has a brain tumour 4 months later, they continue to fight on in their memory and I would love to be a part of this !
I'll give my absolute best to achieve my personal challenge of completing this race, it's been a dream of mine for many years and to finally get the chance is amazing.
If you are able to, please do give as much or as little as possible to this amazing charity. It would mean the world to me and I won't be able to thank you enough 💕
