What better way to start the year and know that my crazy 7 day adventure could help raise funds for this most worthwhile charity. Dipping in the very cold animal water troughs on our farm I shall wear only my swimming costume and a hat! 

In this third lockdown I have to get my cold water fix somehow....somewhere! The personal challenge is to strip to my swimming costume in the field, dip in the "un"dippable whilst hopefully raising some pennies for this worthwhile cause. 

As someone who enjoys the countryside and all it has to offer and who drives on our roads and swims in our rivers and sea (although not locally!) I am all too aware of the dangers around us. The role of the Air Ambulance has always been close to my heart.

Every day of the year, your local air ambulance (Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland) is helping save more lives. Our critical care paramedics, doctors and pilots attend an average of five rescue missions a day. The air ambulance gives people the very best chance of survival and recovery. We are supported by a Critical Care Car meaning that we can reach those who need us 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. The charity receives no government funding for its daily missions.
