Dean Pendley, Rob Chesterman, Rhys Pugh-Holmes, Vera Ekimenko, Leane O'Brien, Will Awad and David Finch are the team taking on one of the toughest walking challenges around: climbing the highest mountain in Scotland, then England, and then Wales, all within 24 hours, for Variety - the childrens' charity.
Beginning with Ben Nevis on Thursday the 28th of August, they'll need to reach the summit and get back back to base camp before driving to Scafell Pike, climbing up and down that before driving on to Snowdon and reaching the summit all within 24 hours of starting out in Scotland. It's an incredibly gruelling and physically demanding challenge that amounts to over 9700 feet of ascent over approximately a marathon distance of mountain climbing (some of it in the dark) and over 600 miles of driving...
It's all in aid of Variety, an excellent charity that gives practical help to sick, disadvantaged and disabled children and young people across the UK, so please give whatever you can.
