To celebrate the new year, my dad David, my daughter Maya and I are challenging ourselves to drink nothing but water this January to support WaterAid's Thirst for Knowledge appeal. For Dad and me it is the ultimate detox to avoid caffeine, alcohol and all other drinks; for Maya, it's minor torture to miss out on her Sodastream for one whole month.
