We have seen a large increase in the number of referrals for our Domestic Abuse Services (41% increase from 2 years ago). In the past, many of the service users attending our programmes were low to medium risk, we are now seeing more high-risk women. High risk cases require more support and tend to have more complex or multiple needs which take more time. Since the start of the Covid Pandemic we have increased the number of groups we run to try and meet the need, but this is not sustainable without additional funding. Despite challenges we supported nearly 300 women in 2021. We provided 269 sessions of support in groups and 200 sessions of one-to-one support.
