The Mlambe Project is a NGO working to put an end to educational and economic disadvantage in Malawi. We sustainably develop community driven education and building initiatives to ensure that children, young people and communities, will have the right to transformative education and livelihoods.

Story

Next year I plan to swim the English Channel (22 miles, 13 hour swim)
To test my training progress I am going to swim 7 miles across the Ionian sea off Greece from Kalamos to Atako island with my brother Peter and my Dad swimming half each to keep me company.
My friend Lucy Ifould used to run The Mlambe Project (TMP) and now my Dad does so I have had a close up view of how valuable and effective their work is.

The Mlambe Project builds schools in Malawi, they are special because

  • They use innovative environmentally friendly building techniques
  • The Mlambe Project leadership is fully integrated with the local community leadership in the area where they work
  • The Mlambe project is a 100% volunteer organisation so all you donations will go deliver schools in Malawi
