Over recent years, we have watched Mum's deterioration with Alzheimer's. Alzheimer's is an irreversible, progressive brain disorder that slowly destroys memory and thinking skills and, eventually, the ability to carry out the simplest tasks. It's a cruel disease that robs a person of their memories and personality and causes a lot of pain and anguish for everyone.  There is still no known cure.

We've decided to walk The Palm Jumeirah Crescent on 25 December 2020 to raise much needed funds for Alzheimer's Research UK. The route is 11km (6.8 miles) in each direction, resulting in a total distance of 22km (13.7 miles), which we hope to complete in around 4 hours!
