Bi-smi llāhi r-raḥmāni r-raḥīm and Assalam Alaikum

When:  November 2022 (rearranged from 2020 due to Covid19)

Why:  Whilst we were fighting for LOO rolls in the Aisles of Supermarkets to survive a few months with our families in our warm homes with plenty of food and clean water, people have been suffering far greater and unimaginable ordeals the world over for way way way longer. 

I've never really climbed a mountain before, so where better to start inshallah than a trek to Mount Everest Base Camp for Penny Appeal's Emergency Response?! 

It's going to be one of the toughest challenges of a lifetime; in this 11 day 100 mile plus trek in freezing temperatures, we will be reaching heights of 18,221ft climbing the highest mountain in the world to help people who are facing crisis, war and displacement. 

Help protect and save thousands of families from the devastating effects of natural disasters and conflict. War, famine, disease, poverty & climate change have immobilised communities in Myanmar, Syria, Yemen, Gaza, Indonesia and East Africa, and Penny Appeal need your support to be able to deploy life-saving medical aid, food, clothing, sanitation and shelter to those who've been left incredibly vulnerable.

1. Please GIFT AID if you are eligible, Penny Appeal does not take ANY money from YOUR donations - however if you Gift Aid, this will go towards their administration.

2. There is a 100% ZAKAT donation policy - so please clearly identify if you would like your donation to be treated as Zakat.

3. JustGiving have removed their ADMIN FEES on donations, so 100% of your donations go to the Emergency Response. If you decide to donate, there is an opt in/out for fees at the end. 

4.  Expedition expenses will be funded by me (inshallah).
