It was in October 2018 I received the devastating diagnosis of Breast Cancer. It is something that has
changed my outlook on life forever, making me want to
help others with similarly hard diagnoses in any way I
can.
I was originally aiming to get fit for the Cycle Challenge in
Thailand in  2020 but due to Covid it was delayed and has now been rescheduled to Sri Lanka for September 2022. A friend of mine, Sue Hammond suggested the original challenge which enabled me to have a focus. During a difficult time in my life, this acted as a positive goal and one I was determined to do. I am now looking forward to getting fit and training for this challenge. It will not only be a self achievement for me but even more so an opportunity to raise money for Breast, Cervical and Ovarian cancer to help fund research for this dreadful disease.
