Story

I am competing in my first half ironman distance triathlon in order to raise funds for Wildlife Vets International, in memory of my late boss Dr John Lewis.

John was one of the co-founder of WVI, a British charity which has been ensuring critical veterinary support for international wildlife and conservation projects since 2004. He was an incredibly talented zoo and wildlife vet who is missed deeply by all who were lucky enough to know him.

I have competed in short distance triathlons since 2014, but on the 20th June I will be swimming 1.2 miles, immediately followed by a 56 mile bike ride and a 13.1 mile run.  I know it's going to be tough and the half marathon at the end fills me with real dread!  I would be so very grateful for your support.

Thank you.
