Story

I've created this page because I want to make a difference. I'm 38 + weeks pregnant and carry the gene for cystic fibrosis and have 3 nephews with cystic fibrosis.

Ireland has the highest incidence of Cystic Fibrosis in the world – approximately 1 in 19 Irish people are said to 'carry' one copy of the altered gene that causes Cystic Fibrosis however both you and your partner must carry the gene for your son/daughter to be born with cystic fibrosis.

The Duleek 10km run has been cancelled due to the covid 19 so a virtual walk/run has been organised instead. I will be doing 10km walk for cystic fibrosis Ireland which can be done on one day or over a few days before April 26th.

As I am 38 + weeks pregnant I will be walking over 3 days, Friday 17th, Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th until I reach 10km. If I go into labour in between I will donate the outstanding myself 😂 wish me luck ☘🤰🚶‍♀️❤

Please help me help them by giving whatever you can using the 'Donate' button. The more people that know about Cystic Fibrosis Ireland the greater their impact 🇨🇮 I only have about 100 friends on Facebook so feel free to share.
