Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have taken on the challenge of climbing Mount Snowdon to raise money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association on behalf of my dad.  After being diagnosed with thyroid cancer in 2016, having a large operation and radioactive iodine treatment, he was given the all-clear. A while after this he started to suffer with some weakness and after many months, a lot of blood tests, and seeing various doctors and consultants, was finally diagnosed with MND in October 2018.

This came as a huge shock to us all.  It is a relentless disease and there is currently no cure and only one licensed medication (if sufferers choose to take it). The MND Association provides much needed support to those diagnosed with MND and their families; including provision of equipment to make sufferers lives a little easier.  They also fund vital research to help find a cure for this awful disease.

Please donate, no matter how small, it all makes a difference.

Your donations will be used to fund the amazing work of the MND Association, including the valuable support provided locally by the Norwich and Waveney Branch of the Association.

I am unfit and scared of heights, so this should be interesting!
