We both have sons with Aspergers & ADHD. Their needs are so complex & at times challenging, that we both had to make the heart-breaking decision in 2013, for them to go to a specialist residential school in the UK.

Autism Jersey has been a lifesaver for both of us. We have found friendship & support and now both work for the charity, running our Autism Jersey Boutique.

We have both been Trustees of the charity and set up and ran our parents/carers drop-ins for many years as well as social events for parents and their children on the Spectrum. We are passionate about enabling other parents to meet and find the same kind of support we have found in each other. Being a parent of a child with Autism can be very isolating.

Times have been very tough over the years, but how lucky have we been to meet. Yes, we have boys with very similar needs but we actually like each other and have found that humour can improve even the bleakest situations.

This is certainly a challenge for both of us and we would be very grateful for your support of this awesome charity!
