Hello KP here......let me tell you about my outrageously ridiculous plan to trek 60km across the highest pass of MONT BLANC through France, Italy and Switzerland, and climb more than 3,700m over 5 days starting on 5th September 2018.

As my friends and family will know, I like to take on new challenges and push my (ageing) body to the limit. You will also know how passionate I am about my work and the joy it has brought me since I started my nurse training as a wee lassie straight from school. Since I started my journey through nursing, I have always had a special place in my heart for the children undergoing treatment for Leukaemia and I have built relationships with many of the children and their families and I have joined many of them on their annual climb to the summit of the Schiehallion mountain.

Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity (GCHC) has been doing incredible work on behalf of our children and their families. My own Department (OPD)has on many occasions benefited greatly from the Charity, the greatest example being new state-of-the-art ENT treatment units which has allowed us to offer high quality care to this group of specialised patients.

I have been involved in many fundraising campaigns and activities in the past on behalf of this fantastic Charity and I am looking forward to continuing as part of their fundraising team for many more years.

As I have decided this will be my final (and by far toughest) challenge, I want to go the extra mile (literally) and I am asking you to support me in raising as much money as possible for this amazing cause.
