Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) in the Mid-West is dedicated to improving the lives of approx. 1880 children and adults with disabilities through spending time with horses, at 27 local RDA groups across Gloucester, North Somerset and Wiltshire. Through fun activities like riding and carriage driving, our beneficiaries experience the positive impact of our work; with significant improvements in physical and mental wellbeing, verbal and non-verbal communication, relationship building and confidence.
Our work is delivered by 1266 volunteers through 27 local groups across Gloucester, North Somerset and Wiltshire. No other UK charity delivers the work we do; our activities (from riding and carriage driving, volunteer training, holidays and educational activities) all have the same goal - focusing on inclusivity and what each beneficiary can do to achieve physical and mental wellbeing; with the end goal of enriching lives and changing futures.
