Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Last year we lost a very special member of our family, my godmother, my Auntie Sandra. She never once complained in the very short time she was diagnosed with Cancer. It was a matter of weeks from been diagnosed to her slipping away from us. She never once in all my life forgot my birthday or Christmas card, and was always helping others before herself. She was a very special lady and left a huge hole not only in my life but in my Uncle David's, her loving Daughters Deborah and Susan and everyone else who was privileged to know her.
I decided to give something back to not only my Auntie Sandra but also the people who looked after her in her final days that I would give myself the ultimate challenge of the Great North Run for Cancer Research UK. Anyone who knows me will also know, not only do I not like running but I'm also not too great at it. So what better challenge to set myself than a 13.1 mile run. I can feel the pain already and it's 6 months away. I've started my first leg conditioning and strengthening sessions this week (5th March) let's just say I'm not walking too well at the moment.
All I'm asking for is for all my family and friends to dig deep and spare a few pounds between you all to raise some much needed cash for this amazing charity.
