My 11 year old daughter, Holly was diagnosed with Leukaemia on 7th March 2023. Unfortunately, there were complications during her first round of chemo, and she died at the end of April - just a month and a half later.

Holly was a bright, funny, kind and full of life child. She found joy in everything she did, and lit up a room with her smiling positivity, and infectious laugh. She loved acting, played guitar, competed at karate, and absolutely loved being in the water. She had her first swimming lesson aged just 4 months. She swam well, and went on to represent her school at swimming galas.

I, however, was never taught to swim properly. My stroke is inefficient and slow. But I am taking on this challenge to honour my girl. She was my world, a remarkable child who made me a better person. Holly, I love and miss you everyday. There are no words to express my sorrow at your loss. Sleep tight, gorgeous girl.
