Story
In December 2018 my cousin Alasdair (pictured with his wife and wee boy) a healthy non-smoker in his mid 40s - had a shitty cough which he couldn’t shake then one day just before Christmas his lung collapsed and from there he was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. Alasdair, with the support of his family, received treatment and lived with cancer for 16 months. Very sadly, he passed away on the 29th of April 2020.
Matt and I are showing our support for Alasdair and his family by raising money for the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation.
We are going sober for October, I will be running 5km every day in December including Christmas Day and we will be running the London Marathon in April 2020.
Every penny raised will go to this amazing charity. Lung Cancer is often only thought of in the context of smokers and, while many sufferers have smoked, there are lots of others who have never touched the fags. All cancer is bloody awful. Lung cancer is bloody awful. Please give what you can.
