Swallowfield 10K · 16 September 2012

Based in Chelsea, the National Army Museum is a charity that works to preserve and share the history of the British Army. We aim to inspire everyone with the stories of our soldiers - past, present and future. We welcome your support to this important mission.

Story

I have been a Friend of the Museum since 2006. Living locally, I visit the Museum regularly - sometimes with my dad or my husband. I find the Museum an inspiring place, full of history, knowledge and fun surprises. I am particularly excited about the education and outreach programmes of the Museum's Building for the Future plans.

I will be running the Swallowfield 10K as a warm-up for my run in the Army Ten Miler in October. Both runs are in support of the National Army Museum, and running for a cause has been a great motivator. Last year I finished tenth in my age group: let's see if I can improve my PB this year!

Please consider a donation: every little bit helps the National Army Museum.
