Story

Karen and Alan - Glückliche Radfahrer!

Thank you for having a look at our fundraising page. We are a married couple, 22 years and counting! We have always been keen cyclists, but never dared to take anything on of this magnitude. What are we doing? Well, the plan is to cycle from Bradford, West Yorkshire, home of the Mighty Bantams, to Hamm in Germany, which is Bradfords twin town. That’s 560 miles in 7 days, or an average of 80 miles a day. At least it would be if we didn’t get a day off in the middle.

Sport has always played an important role in our lives, and have been fortunate enough to be able to follow our own sporting goals, our aim for this event is to raise as much as possible for Bradford Disability Sport & Leisure online as well as raising awareness, so that people who are not as fortunate as ourselves will get the opportunity to take part in sport, and maybe gain some of the enjoyment out of it that we have.
