Community Campaign for a New Library in Silverdale

Community Campaign for a New Library in Silverdale · 28 December 2020
I remember visiting Kitsap Regional Library as a child, most often looking for books on horses and learning to love all that libraries offer. As a teen I walked down to the Library in Silverdale after school and spent hours combing through books, magazines and records finding what I needed for school projects or just for fun. I can't even imagine how amazing it would have been to have the Library on campus!
Later as an adult, libraries became a place I could take my own children for a fun trip that also helped foster their love for reading and learning. The Library was also where I met with community groups I was involved in and where I was able to attend free classes that helped in my work.
Not to age myself, but the Library in Silverdale was small when I visited as a child and our community has grown A LOT since! The new Library will more than double in size and offer more items for checkout, additional computers, meeting space that is free to the community, designated child and teen areas and an increase in parking spaces!
Truly, Kitsap Regional Library is a cornerstone in our community. It has supported our community for decades and it is time for us to support it. I hope you will join the Campaign and help me meet my fundraising goal of $200 by making a gift today.
Thank you for your support!
