Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page!

On Monday, the 2nd of May I, Karis, will be running the Belfast City Marathon. I have chosen to run the marathon in support of my current school in Ireland, Belfast Bible College. At the moment there are almost 30 nationalities represented among the 220 students who attend Belfast Bible College and many of these students are able to study only through help of scholarships and donations by persons and churches in the area. I live in the same building with many of these students from places like Kenya, Brazil, Zimbabwe, Hungary, Mongolia, and other places. There are still more students who would jump at the chance to come to BBC to study and receive theological training not available in their own countries.

I have been blessed by all the international students I have come in contact with. In fact, learning from people from all over the world has stimulated a lot of good learning and allowed me to see a more global picture of the world and on God's heart for the world. In America, I take for granted the availability of great Bible colleges and theological libraries. The same could be said for Ireland as well. But it is such a blessing for international students without means of their own to come here and have access to such materials. They can then take what they learn about God and about the Bible and take it back to their own countries. I believe it is of great importance to raise up national leaders to lead churches in their own countries.

Therefore, it is my desire to support BBC by raising money to provide scholarship money to support more internationals to come to BBC. I would greatly appreciate it if you have the means, to help me support this cause. You can do this through several ways. One is to give money in person to me, and the second option is through this website. The JustGiving website should be simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity(BBC) and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.

Thank you for your support and God bless.
