Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I've decided to take it upon myself to scale 4167 metres to the summit of the highest mountain in North Africa to raise significant funding for the Fire Fighters Charity in 2022. The Fire Fighters Charity is a charitable organisation that is almost completely funded by donations from the general public and Fire community, it provides facilities and services to existing and retired Fire Service personnel along with their families through a wide range of different programmes, including: physical support (aid in recovery from an injury or illness) , psychological support (mental health awareness) and social well-being care (support strategies for life-changing health problems). A truly magnificent cause that ensures the people who are called upon in the public's worst time of need also have somewhere to turn to for help.

I have worked within the Emergency Services for several years as an Aviation Fire Fighter and more recently I took up a new opportunity as an Apprentice Community Firefighter with Merseyside Fire and Rescue service. I have a great understanding and appreciation of the facilities they provide to any personnel who work in the Fire Service-I therefore recognize this as an extraordinary way to raise donations for key facilities while undertaking this breathtaking expedition in Morocco.

Truthfully I have never done anything like this before so I will be undertaking some further training sessions and tackling some new challenges at home before I leave to ensure I'm best prepared for the excursion. Hopefully together we can raise vital funding for this superb cause!
