My 2.6 Challenge - 26.2 Marathons

My 2.6 Challenge - 26.2 Marathons · 21 April 2020
Hi Everyone,
If you're reading this, you may already know that I'm a keen runner and generally struggle to sit still. So, I thought I'd use my energy to help out a charity that I only recently became aware of - KidsOut. On a work call today, a spokesperson for the charity moved me to tears giving an update of what they do, and in particular, the challenges some children and families face during Covid-19.
This really hit home for me personally, so I've decided to give the 26.2 challenge a go by running the equivalent of 26.2 marathons. That’s 688 miles, as quickly as I can.
It's clear that raising money through the traditional events has been dramatically affected by Covid-19. As a result, charities need us more than ever. I'm just doing my bit to help by putting something I love to good use.
If you have time, please take a look into the KidsOut charity and their amazing story. As a Dad myself, it really struck home how lucky I am, and how there is always hope.
I've set myself a target of £2000 so if you can spare a few quid then that would be awesome. And by the way, if lockdown extends beyond the current exercise restrictions, I will run it round my garden. It just might take a bit longer :)
