We are needing you support to run this traning center to give equel apportunity to to women to practise and spread dhamma
Main Objective: ‐
1. To train women in spiritual practice during two years.
2. Autonomous individuals capable of taking charge of her life.
3. To develop the physical and mental capacities of women to increase their confidence and stay safe.
4. To create a space for women to learn and share Non Violent Communication for creating more peaceful communities.
5. To build capacities and skills in women to create and run her own project with her vision.
6. To create values for social contribution.
Background of the project area and the problem:
In our society and family, women do not have a space to develop as an individual and explore her potential. Many women want to contribute to society and want to live her life with different values but the family system does not allow it. Most women are expected to live according to their parent’s wishes and after marriage the wishes of the in-laws, she has no space to explore what she really needs. As a result of these conditioning women are economically, socially, physically disempowered. We believe that through Buddhism we can create a consciousness where women can connect with her core need and explore herself. We want to create a space where she can overcome this conditioning, recognize her inner strength and create her own vision. Through Non Violent Communication she will be able to understand and express herself very clearly, so that she can create her own space in family and society.
We believe that community living can provide rich opportunities for support, inner growth, and provide values for living harmoniously in community. For this tools like meditation can be helpful in dealing with inner and outer conflict and offer positive values for group living. Living in community is often very difficult as individuals have different values and needs. Meditation is important to create understanding and respect for ourselves and others. It can be an effective tool to explore our inner conditioning, understand ourselves and overcome old habits.
Tools like Yoga, Chi Kung etc are important to help women to understand their bodies and connect to their physical potential. These tools are helpful in creating body-mind connection and coordination. In addition the Women’s Safety Programme will help her to recognize visible and invisible forms of violence and find strategies to stay safe. It will also help her deal with physical, mental, emotional and sexual violence in her life and live a life free of fear. These tools are important to help women develop emotionally, physically and mentally.
The goal of this process is to enable women to identify her potential, interests and find the confidence to make more empowering choices in her life. Women will be supported in fulfilling her goals and in making a sustainable living.
In order to meet our goals we hope to work in close collaboration with groups and individuals with a similar vision nationally and internationally in order to broaden our horizons and learn and share with each other.
