Until a few years ago, I was one of the lucky ones who’d never seen cancer up close.  Sadly, it’s come crashing into the lives of far too many people I care about recently, crippling both those with cancer and their loved ones.  Into all the darkness, Macmillan bring so much light, providing a level of support to everyone affected that you can’t put a price on.  Very sadly, since signing up to this ride I have suddenly lost a very close friend to cancer so I will be riding with her very much on my mind.

For those that know me, you know I’m a keen cyclist anyway- but don’t think this is going to be easy for me, as I’m not nearly fit enough to do this, and training is going to involve 5am turbo sessions and time away from my children at the weekends.  But every single penny of the money you give goes to a really good cause, and my company will do £4£ matching and you'll get a top up Gift Aid,  so dig deep and give generously.
