BLP 24 Peaks Lake District Challenge · 1 September 2015

Dementia UK is the specialist dementia nurse charity. Our nurses, called Admiral Nurses – who we continually support and develop – provide life-changing care for families affected by all forms of dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease.

Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. I will be taking part in the 24 Peaks Challenge on 18 and 19 September.  As suggested by the title, the challenge involves climbing 24 of the Lake Districts’ Peaks (each over 2,400 feet) over two days. The total distance to travel is 50km and, more importantly, the total ascent is 4,400 metres.

I am taking part to raise money for Berwin Leighton Paisner's Charity of the Year, Dementia UK, which does amazing work in a very difficult area, touching more and more families every year. Dementia UK provides Admiral Nurses to support people directly affected by all forms of dementia, and their family and friends.

Please give as much or as little as you can afford to support me in this challenge, every donation is gratefully received by me and by Dementia UK.

Don’t forget to tick the gift aid box when you donate, which means the charity can claim back an extra 25% of tax you’ve already paid on your donation, at absolutely no cost to you.

Many thanks,

Kate
