Alzheimers Can Do. One.

The women in my family are not good at sitting still. If there is loss and difficulty, one of us is usually pounding the pavement or drinking wine. And, well, between us a lot of miles have been covered and much wine has been drunk.

On 1st June I am joining forces with my Mum (Bev), Auntie (Trudie) and Cousin (Alice) to walk 13 miles around London in aid of Alzheimer's Society. This is going to be tough because I am going to have to try to keep up with my Mum, and she is a walking machine.

I don't think there is a family that has not been hit by the slow horror of dementia and alzheimers. There are people I love, not all pictured here that are in the middle of tough fights. Some are not here anymore. But my Grandad (and a fabulous Val) would be having a right laugh at me walking round London a sweaty mess in a bumbag and factor 50 so, I shall. And let's hope Trudie doesn't take too many photos.

I really hate asking people for things, especially money, and there are so many worthy causes. So, please do help if you can, and if you can't, well just wait for the pictures of me in the bumbag..
