I am honoured to be given the opportunity of a charity place to run the London Marathon in 2023, raising money for such an inspirational charity. St David's took over St Josephs, who cared for my closest friend in her final days and there could not have been a better reason to have taken on this challenge. 

Having only been a runner for a few years, I never thought I would ever join the "real runners" in taking on something as challenging as this. But turning 50 seems a privilege when so many people, especially young people, need the services of St David's. I am using my 50th year as an excuse, in exchange for any birthday presents and cards, to see what I can raise for this incredible charity. 

Hospice care offers reassurance of round-the-clock expert care, in a friendly, welcoming environment for those who are living through a life limiting illness. From managing someone's pain, to looking after their emotional, spiritual and social needs, hospice care supports the whole person, helping them to live their life to the full.
