Bangor Pier Promenade · 24 April 2010

We want to see a North Wales richer in wildlife valued by all. We improve places for wildlife and strengthen the relationship between the people of North Wales and the local environment. Together, our supporters, members, staff and volunteers make a real difference for wildlife.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Hurrah, I've reached my first target. However my page will stay open for 3 months after our Spring into Action day, April 24th, so I'm hoping to do more & reach £?? The more the better, as money will help pay for wardening the Tern colony at our Cemlyn reserve.  Without 24 hour protection Herons stalk among the nests & feast on chicks, not a happy scene at Wales only Sandwich Tern colony. In 2009 with wardening 100's of chicks fledged & lots of visitors enjoyed watching them. Note Herons are only scared not harmed.

I'll be on Bangor Pier from 11am to 3pm to help everyone joining our Spring into Action walk on April 24th. I'll walk to the end and back twice during the day, just one mile. If you are unable to come and take part in this or one of the other 8 walks please sponsor or one of the people listed and help NWWT continue to protect the wildlife of N.Wales & inspire people to come and enjoy it.. Bangor Pier is a fantastic place to get a breath of sea air, bird watch and see the Lavan Sands, Menai Strait and Carneddau mountains. The cafe is famous for its scones, most popular activity crabbing.
