In April I will be running the Marathon des Sables, a cross-desert multiple-stage race consisting of six back-to-back marathons over six days through the Sahara desert. I will be carrying all my own gear, supplies and equipment on my back and staying in goats hair tents along the way.

As well as completing this epic journey as a challenge to myself, I am also raising money through sponsorship for Medecins sans Frontieres, an international aid charity providing medical and logistical support to communities affected by conflict and natural disaster. My late father, Donald, was passionate about the plights of others in countries less equipped to deal with such events, and so I am raising this money to honour him and his values.
