Story

UPDATE 15.9.20 Sadly, in May my Grandad passed away which has made me even more determined to raise as much money as possible for Cure Parkinson's Trust. Due to COVID-19, my place in the the Vitality 10k has been postponed to 2021. PLEASE donate if you can and share my page - I would be so so grateful. Thank you 💙

3.2.20 target raised to £550!

UPDATE! Target raised to £350 🙌🏼

Around 7 years ago, my Grandad was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease. It has been a struggle watching him and my family come to terms with this over the years, especially seeing his health deteriorate over the last few months.

I have watched my loving, hard working Grandad lose the ability to look after himself and become more reliant on others to complete even basic daily tasks. My Grandad is one of the most patient, supportive people I have had in my life, and even during the tough times through his Parkinson's, he never fails to make us laugh with his jokes and funny anecdotes. It makes me want to take on any challenge that faces me with a smile on my face and a positive attitude.

This is why I am taking on this challenge - to raise as much money as I can for The Cure Parkinson's Trust. The charity is dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson's, and I hope the money I raise can make a small difference in bringing them closer to finding new treatments to slow, stop and reverse the progression of Parkinson's Disease.

Thank you so much for visiting my JustGiving page, and donations are greatly appreciated!
