About nine years ago when Caroline was living in Australia I found out that the cancer I'd had in the past was back again. Typically my darling Caroline got straight on a plane home to London. Within the year Caroline ran the Race for Life for Cancer Research, running with my name on her 't' shirt. That's the kind of person Caroline was. 

I never ever thought that our roles would be reversed and I would be one day be running to raise money for leukaemia research in her name but here I am. Having never done more than run for the bus now I'm running for Leuka, admittedly not the 10 mile run but still a bit of a shock to the system at my age. I know for sure that if Caroline were here she would have tried to stop me because as those of you that knew her know, she fussed and worried over those she loved. She was the most caring person I've ever met. The world is a poorer place without Caroline but we who are left, are honouring her memory in the best way we can by trying to help find some way of stopping this terrible disease. So here we go.
