Over 150,000 of us in the UK have MS. It’s unpredictable and different for everyone. But it doesn’t have to be this way. We’re the MS Society. We understand what life’s like with MS. We're here for you through the highs, lows and everything in between. Together, we are strong enough to stop MS.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.  I was diagnosed with MS (relapsing/remitting) in July and would like your help to raise £500 for the MS Society and 3 STONE from my waist line!

Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is a condition of the central nervous system. It is the result of damage to myelin - a protective sheath surrounding nerve fibres of the central nervous system. When myelin is damaged, this interferes with messages between the brain and other parts of the body. Once diagnosed, MS stays with you for life, but treatments and specialists can help manage many symptoms. Although its cause is not known and a cure has yet to be identified, research continues into all aspects of the condition.

I would really appreciate your support, both emotional and financial (sponsorship). Please dig deep - all money will go directly to the MS Society towards the funding of research into treatments, some of which I may need in the future!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
